Tana - review.jpg

I originally contacted Gene Long at K9Wise to help me leash walk my Belgian Malinois without her pulling. I got so much more! Hallah has made so much progress in so many ways: leash walking, paying attention, recall (coming every time called), handling distractions, house manners, greeting manners, and playing inside. All my family comments on how much calmer and better behaved she is. He’s done a great job training her and me on how to work with her in many areas. I am so glad I found Gene!

Marilyn - review.jpg

On many trips to Germany to visit my in-laws, I fell in love with dachshunds. They were everywhere and were so well behaved, even sitting quietly under their owners' tables in restaurants. Over the years, I've adopted a series of doxies. They are so cute, but unlike their German counterparts, they are incessant barkers. My current two, Schatzi and Siggi, irritatingly set a new record. Visitors, neighbors, deliverymen, other animals, etc. would set them off and they would bark non-stop for what seemed like hours. In desperation, I searched the internet for a trainer. The doggie gods smiled on me and I found Gene Long of k9wise. Gene was so calm, kind and patient with not only the dogs, but, more importantly, with their owner. He taught me techniques to change their behavior without reverting to any type of punishment. His techniques work. He had such a connection with the dogs that they would wait at the front door when it was time for him to come. By the end of our training sessions, the change in Schatzi and Siggi and their barking habit was dramatic. So much so that I hardly recognized my own dogs. I recommend Gene without any reservation.
